Free use of local public transport - in Allgäu, Ammergau Alps, Blaues Land & Tölzer Land
With the KÖNIGSCARD, you can use buses and trains free of charge. The prerequisite for this is that your accommodation is located in one of the participating towns in the transport association. You can find a list of participating locations below. Currently, free use is only valid within the district in which you are staying.
You only need to show your KÖNIGSCARD on the bus to travel for free.
When traveling with DB-Regio, the following items must be carried:
- your KÖNIGSCARD
- a photo ID
- the paper copy of your registration form, which you will receive from your host
Please note that taking bicycles and dogs with you will incur additional costs. Trips that go beyond the area of validity are also not included.

The Königscard is available in various vacation regions in the Allgäu and in selected Alpine regions. These regions offer their guests unique experiences and activities. In the Ammergau Alps Nature Park, you will find offers in almost every village that you can use with the card, including free museum visits, cable car rides and e-bike rentals.
How long is the Königscard valid for?
The Königscard is valid for your entire stay in one of the participating accommodations, from the day of arrival to the day of departure.
What additional services does the Königscard offer?
In addition to the offers of the electronic guest card in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park, the Königscard also allows free use of the RVO and RVA buses on selected routes.
